ELIGIBILITY: FOR ALL-AMERICAN LIMOUSIN FUTURITY SHOW
All cattle must be recorded with the North American Limousin Foundation
(NALF) to be eligible to show in the All-American Futurity (AALF). The 2018 AALF
will have Limousin (orange papered 75% or greater), Lim-Flex (purple papered)
and Fullblood showing together. The NALF Board has approved awarding Level
I MOE points for this show as requested by the NALF Show Committee and the
AALF Executive Committee.
A) Bulls calved between January 1, 2016, and January 31, 2018, are eligible to
show. All bulls entered in the AALF must be free of known genetic defects. If
their pedigree check reveals a suspect carrier ancestor that has not been tested
free when checked by NALF, said bull must test free to be eligible to show in the
AALF and compete for the After 5 Club money.
B) Females calved between September 1, 2016, and January 31, 2018, are
eligible to show.
C) Cow-calf pairs must have a natural-born calf nursing that is less than 250
days of age show day. Calf at side may be shown in individual class if born
January 31, 2018, or before.
D) All cattle will be checked in by show management—tattoos will be read, hip
height measured, and all bulls will be weighed and scrotal measurements taken.
E) EPDs will be made available to the judge(s) on all animals shown.
F) A Jan Mapes’ sculptured trophy will be awarded to the Grand Champion Bull
and the Supreme Grand Champion Female.
AFTER 5 CLUB:
A member of the After 5 Club who exhibits the AALF Grand Champion Bull will
receive $10,000. A non-member will receive $5,000.
A) Bulls must have BW, WW, YW (if applicable) recorded with NALF at entry
time. Champion bull must meet all requirements to be an AI-verified sire to
receive prize money.
B) Semen must be ready to deliver on/or before November 1, 2018.
C) Failure to Freeze—purse rolls into following year in an interest-earning
account. Failure to deliver semen disqualifies exhibitor and/or owners from
future All-American Futurities.
All bulls must be entered with this understanding.
