Counting the hours before the dawn,
And the curtain of night is silently drawn
Through years I thought I had known my love
But now clouds gather so violently above
I’ve done time, in a place where no one goes
hoping for my best to show again
In my mind, there’s a place where I could find all
the love I’ve left behind but then

I feel the winds of change blowing

I keep reaching for that rainbow, rainbow

It crept up like a killer in the night
The signs were hidden, just out of sight
And then at once we knew it was o’er
Drifted away to some distant shore

Once hand in hand and now alone
Like a leaf I flutter where I may

Why can’t I, just let go of all my fears? Let me
feel, let there be sun or rain
In the sky, vivid colors in the air, I get close but
can’t get near again
Rushing out in to the rain, hoping not to
feel the same
I give it all I’ve got again, trying not to go insane
Just rest your weary heart awhile
For it takes a toll to walk these miles
Release the memories of the past
And into the wind your spirit cast
