Feeling Thankful
for You
“Thank you for being
a friend and a member
of the Morningside
family. May all the
joys of the season be
with you and yours.”

Patch Adams wrote “At the age of
18, I made up my mind to never have
another bad day in my life. I dove
into an endless sea of gratitude from
which I’ve never emerged.”
Patch figured it out earlier than
most of us, but we can follow his
example at any age. As we approach
the seasons of thanks and giving, I
want to dive into that sea of gratitude
and let you know how thankful I am
for you. I’m grateful for what you
mean to the work of Morningside
Ministries and the neighbors you help.
I’m thinking of the incredible
turkey dinner that is about to be
served to the hundreds of seniors
at each of our three communities.
Many of those who will get to share
in the traditional meal also will enjoy
the welcoming fellowship of friends

and caregivers that you help provide
through your faithful financial
support.
I’m sending special thanks on

for the Covenant Fund that thoughtful
donors have endowed over the years
to keep Morningside available to
those in need.
I’m thanking you for volunteering
at Morningside. Your service tells a
story about your values. Whether you

a board member, you are sharing a
precious resource that nobody has
any more of than anyone else: time.
I’m thanking you for remembering
your Morningside neighbors in prayer.
What an intimate connection that
makes, even with someone you may
not meet. It’s a way of taking care of
each other, regardless of our faith.
God knows we need to!
You connect with older adults and
their caregivers, honor their humanity,
gifts and dreams—and this past year
you helped make aging a gift for 196
of them who were less fortunate and
needed your friendship.
Thank you for being a friend and
a member of the Morningside family.
May all the joys of the season be with
you and yours.
