“ Leveraging Your Natural Constraints .”

SOMETIMES YOU ’ RE FLYING AND your business is thriving . It ' s easy to coast on that high , as you should . But the rollercoaster of the entrepreneurial journey is always there to remind us it ' s real . Just when things feel like they ' re getting easy - WHAM !! - they can take a turn and leave you scratching your head wondering what just happened .

You pushed that proverbial rock up the hill and felt victorious but now it ' s rolling back on you ?! It ' s not for the faint of heart .
The pattern repeats and the wise ones who ' ve been in business for themselves for many years develop a sense of acceptance and expectation that gets them through the highs and lows .
My business is relatively new but in the last year and a half I ' ve already experienced this a handful of times and I ' ve recently come to accept it like the tide . It ' s the ebb and flow of life it rolls in , it rolls out . There ' s no waiting to " have all your ducks in a row " or for " when things get settled ." Embracing the now for what it is , all constraints included , is much more empowering than waiting in frustration for smoother waters .
This lesson is fresh for me . I ' m waking up to see that my mindset is a choice , how I frame my situation each day , all the unexpected things that pop up can either be given into with a sense of dread or bitterness . Or I can see it as a lesson , or a test . It ' s the universe asking me if I really want what I ' m working toward .
I say I want to help women to feel empowered , embrace their dreams , and push beyond the status quo of traditional expectations put upon them by family , friends , spouses , co-workers . But when my youngest child developed acute sensory issues that prevented her from putting on clothes and leaving the house without screaming and ripping her clothes off in the car teary-eyed in the dead of winter , I felt powerless myself .
Phone calls to the pediatrician , specialists , preschool teachers , other parents of children with sensory issues . Research and reading forums . I wanted desperately to help her out of her pain . I felt like a failure at finding answers and then trapped and unable to leave the house to run a simple
