As the only idea he had at the time, he chose to grab his mother by the arm and run as fast as his legs could carry him and out the door, he went. Not knowing what else to do and after getting a reasonable distance away from the house, he stopped to think and rest. But when he looked back the shadow was back again and still following the two.
