population is about 470. The high school
graduates an average of 31 students per year,
and the elementary school averages 19 students
per teacher.
The district provides an active community
education program to address the needs of the
lifelong learners of the area. The district is looking
for course instructors from the community to
participate, and allow more offering options.

Lester Prairie School District recognizes the
strong community support and the success it
creates for our students who have gone on
to participate in regional, state, national, and
internationaltournament competitions regularly.
During the 2018-2019 school year, LP Schools
began a very successful robotics program
which competed at the sectional level and won
the Rockwell Collins Innovate Award. Since May
2018, other state, national, and international
competitors include: Cross Country, Football,
Spelling Bee, Future Problem Solvers, and
more. Lester Prairie uses #LPStrongerTogether
to represent the strength of the school and
community.
