PRACTICES. Foster extension, cooperation, networking
and information sharing amongst farmers,
governments, business, community organizations
and industry.

Offer products and services that are valuable to
the farming community. • Partner, sponsor and work with local 4-H groups
• Attend and participate in other agricultural
meetings, seminars and workshops
• Participate in the bi-annual Farm Family Award
• Participate in inter-municipal and inter-
governmental projects and programs
(Grasshopper Survey, Drought Monitoring,
Weed Survey, Crop Reports, etc.)
• Partner with other agricultural organizations,
business, community groups and industry to
organize meetings, seminars, workshops and
tours
Provide networking opportunities at ASB
events
Direction/Action
• Maintain an agricultural equipment rental
program • Organize quarterly timely information update
producer meetings, tours, seminars, and other
events • Distribute information update mail-outs to all
producers, at least twice per year • Facilitate soil, feed and seed testing • One-on-one farm calls and kitchen table
meetings •
