Do it! Find the cause (or causes) you believe in, and jump in. It can be as easy as becoming friends with a fellow student who doesn't know anyone, or helping your grandparents with chores around their house. You can build from there. Find service projects that your sports team or school club or scouting program can get involved with. You don't know what people you encounter are dealing with. A kind word and a smile could be all it takes to change their day from miserable to happy. It really is that simple. Treat people like you want to be treated.

Anything else you would like to mention? Upcoming album? Book, hint hint?
Thank you for asking. I am working on my new album which will come out later in 2016. The first single is out now, "Southern Belle." I'm very excited about this new album and hope my fans will enjoy it. I've written five songs for the album thus far – the most I've written for any of my albums. I have loved the entire process of working on this album.
I also have written my first book: Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream. It will be in-stores on May 3, 2016 (though you can pre-order it now at Amazon.com). In the book, I tell stories from my childhood, stories from my "American Idol" experience, and stories from the road.
While Scotty may not be sure where his legacy is headed this early on in his career, we here at Legend Magazine believe his talent is only outmatched by his huge heart, and we wish him nothing but the best.
