I pay very close attention to what my fans enjoy so I can make my concerts better and so I can write and select songs that I think they will like. My fans are awesome – they have been with me from day one and have given me such love and support. I can never thank them enough for all the support they give me.

How do you feel your music has impacted the country music world? What sort of legacy would you like to leave behind?

Scotty McCreery

Oh man, it's probably too early for me to answer that question. I am still working to establish myself. I know what impact that artists like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Garth Brooks, Josh Turner, Brad Paisley, and R&B singer Charlie Wilson have left on me. I hope to build a catalog of hit songs that people enjoy listening to for years to come. I hope that the fans will always know how much I truly appreciate all of them for their support. I hope I get to perform for the rest of my life – that has always been my dream. I hope that I can use whatever fame I might have to bring attention to causes that I believe in, such as the 12.14 Foundation, Major League Baseball's Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities program, and so many more. I hope I am one day asked to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
