The Miami Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.,
Celebrate 75 Years at its annual Poinsettia Gala

Sorority, Inc. is a
private, non-profit
organization whose
purpose is to deliver
assistance and
support through
established programs
in local communities
throughout the
world. The sorority
was founded in 1913
by 22 courageous female students at
Howard University. The Miami Alumnae
Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.,
was chartered in 1941.
During the 2015-16 sorority year Miami
Alumnae Chapter will celebrate 75 years of
unyielding commitment to sisterhood,
scholarship and service through a variety of
programs and events. One of the sorority’s
most celebrated events is its Poinsettia Gala
on December 12th One of the Gala’s main
missions is to mentor girls from
kindergarten to twelfth grade through five
active mentoring programs and programs
