Recognize Active and Passive meanings.
*Active: The subject does the action of the verb.
*Passive: The subject receives the action of the verb.
Examples:
1.We mailed the package at the post office
( this example has the active verb mailed used with the object
package)
2. The letter was mailed by us today before noon.
( in this case the sentence has a passive verb was mailed used with
by us)
