Youth Field Trips Afton Alps Grades 6 -8 Spend the day on the slopes at Afton Alps! The class fee includes a lift ticket, ski rental, introductory lesson and transportation to and from the park. All experience levels are welcome (more experienced students may opt to test out of the intro lesson). Please bring a lunch. Tubers are delivered to the top of the hill by tow rope, so it's no work and all fun! Green Acres is an open hill rather than lanes for the tubes going down the hill and everyone will end up in a common run-out area at various speeds. Tubers must be at least 42 inches to be able to tube alone down the hills. Please bring a lunch. We will collect sap, learn the cooking process, and take home our very own maple syrup. From there we will head back to Maplewood Middle School and learn how to cook breakfast staples. No experience necessary, just bring your sense of adventure. Experienced Outward Bound instructors lead you through a day of fast-paced survival challenges that keep you engaged (and warm)!
