Youth Boys Volleyball Club Grades 6–12 Players will learn volleyball and develop individual skills. The class will include instruction in the basic skills of serving, passing, setting, attacking, and blocking. We'll also cover tactical skills of volleyball offensive and defensive play as well as the rules and scoring. Scrimmages will be included in most classes. Practice will be held on Saturday, January 12th from 9:00 am–12:00 pm at North High School. A set of poms and a Polar Cheer T-shirt are included in the registration. North Polar Cheer Team Baton Twirling Fundamentals This introductory class will teach students the basic foundation of baton twirling, from figure 8’s to thumb tosses. Students will begin developing correct technique, hand-eye coordination, learn new tricks, and have fun through creative movement. All participants will receive a professional grade baton (not from a toy store), specifically sized for each student. The score impacts college admissions as well as qualification for scholarships. This 5-hour seminar taught by ZAPS Learning Company/RMASS Education Seminars is an excellent way to prepare for the ACT test. Participants will receive a study guide and practice worksheets. Bring two #2 pencils and a calculator to the seminar. (Remember there is a deadline to register for the actual ACT test. Ask a high school counselor or check the ACT website at www.actstudent.org for test dates and location as well as to register.)
