IT Careers Training & Cer�fica�on
Students may begin this free course at any �me . Classes are held Monday – Thursday , 1:30 – 4:30 pm . Semester I We start with computer skills development using the Northstar Digital Literacy Assessment . The program then focuses on training for the Microso� Office Specialist Cer�ficate . Microso� Office Specialist ( MOS ) Cer�ficate is earned when passing any three Cer�port Assessments . Semester II We will cover curriculum that prepares students for the CompTIA A + cer�fica�on . This cer�ficate will qualify students to work in the IT field as Tier 1 Helpdesk Support Professionals . CompTIA A + Curriculum includes :

Don ’ t just play Minecra� ! Turn Minecra� from a game into a visual learning tool ! Learn basic game design skills , collaborate to build Adventure maps , and enjoy advanced features of Minecra� used in Adventure mode . This class has a strong emphasis on crea�vity , explora�on , and coopera�ve learning experiences . Students will be able to take their custom worlds home on a flash drive , and will be able to con�nue to develop these worlds on their home computers .

Crea�ng with clay and pain�ng on canvas - it just doesn ’ t get any be�er than that ! In this class , your child will get to experiment with many different types of art while learning simple step-by-step pain�ng and clay techniques . We will make 3D bears , owls that glow-in-the-dark , a scratchboard pain�ng of a cat and so much more !
