Youth Non-School Day Fun: Prime Time Grades K–5 On weekdays when school is not in session, join us for PRIME TIME, a safe and enriching environment where kids will enjoy fun and engaging activities related to the theme of the day. Each day requires individual registration and payment. Sign up with a friend or two for even more fun! Space is limited, register early! Please send a bag lunch with your child. Program hours are 9:00 am–3:00 pm Friday, October 6 Adventures in Maplewood Weaver Elementary Join us as we explore Maplewood! We will begin the morning with a walking field trip to the Maplewood Bakery. We will walk on the trails and will say hello to the bugs and animals we pass. In the afternoon we will visit the Maplewood Fire Station to see the big fire trucks and learn about fire safety and prevention. Additionally, we will have several activities at Weaver to learn about Maplewood and test our artistic abilities. Thursday, October 19 Pumpkin Patch Festival Weaver Elementary Let's celebrate fall! We will head to Pinehaven Farms where we will go on a hayride, visit the petting zoo, play on the playground, pick our own pumpkins and more! Each child will come home with a pie-sized pumpkin! When we return, we'll have the opportunity to paint our pumpkin and participate in more fall activities. 40 Cost: $30 per day per student Friday, October 20 Out Into the Wilderness Weaver Elementary On this day we will embrace the wilderness surrounding Weaver Elementary. We'll learn how to plant, decorate pots, and more. We'll also go on a walk through the trails, visit nearby parks, and visit a secret garden. It will be a fun, nature-filled day! Friday, October 27 Superhero Day Weaver Elementary You are encouraged to come dressed as your favorite superhero. We will have the opportunity to decorate capes, comics, magnets, Captain America shields, and more. Come and channel your inner superhero! Monday, December 4 Star Wars Day Oakdale Elementary Join us as we explore the ways of the Jedi. We will make our own lightsabers, train to be Jedis, play Star Wars games. Come dressed as your favorite Star Wars character! Tuesday, December 26 Pioneer Day Oakdale Elementary We will see how kids played during the pioneer days by making our own pioneer toys and games. We will also make covered wagons, churn butter and practice weaving. Wednesday, December 27 Ancient Egypt Day Oakdale Elementary Travel back to ancient Egyptian times with us. We'll make mummies and Egyptian jewelry, decipher hieroglyphics, and more. We will also visit the Science Museum to see a real mummy. Thursday, December 28 Medieval Times Oakdale Elementary Huzzah! Join us as we visit the medieval times. We will be making many different medieval hats, shields, dragons, knights, and practicing our javelin throwing skills! Friday, December 29 Wild West Oak dale Elementary Yeehaw! On the last day of winter break we will saddle up to explore the Wild West!
