Arts ! NEW Beginning Crochet Begin with a discussion of crochet styles, types and sizes of hooks, types of yarn, how to read the yarn labels and reading a pattern. Then learn the basics of crochet including starting a chain and 4–5 basic stitches that you will use to complete the class project—a scarf. If time allows, crocheting in the round will also be introduced. Bring sizes C, G, and I hooks, 300 yards main color of plain worsted weight yarn, and 100 yards of a contrasting color. (The following are not recommended for beginners: Red Heart Super Saver yarn, nor using either black or white yarn).
