Minnesota History with a French Accent
Do you have a French surname? Do you know why the state motto, L'Etoile du Nord, is in French? Did you learn in
school that Minnesota was explored and settled by French and French Canadians? You may not pronounce Hennepin,
Radisson, LaSalle, Lafayette or St. Paul the way the Francophones do, none-the-less the French left an indelible mark
on our society and culture. This series, developed by members of the French-American Heritage Foundation, focuses
on rich French history and heritage in our state. Attend the entire series for the discounted rate of $29 or register for
individual sessions and pay $10 each.
