Amy Sink became the chief executive
officer of Interra Credit Union on Nov. 4,
bringing more than 25 years of industry
experience. Along with a master’s degree
from Notre Dame, Sink has completed
the Advanced Leadership Institute at
the Harvard Executive MBA School.
“I am honored and excited to join the
Interra Credit Union family. … I am
equally excited to meet the members
and understand their needs and how we
can serve them into the future,” Sink said
upon accepting the position. Interra was
founded in 1932 and maintains assets
of more than $650 million from its 11
offices throughout north-central Indiana.
Horizon Bank has acquired SCB
Bancorp and its wholly owned
subsidiary, Summit Community Bank,
in a stock and cash merger. SCB serves
CWRV Transport, led by former
Elkhart Mayor Dave Miller, had
its official opening Oct. 17.
Current Mayor Dick Moore helped Miller
and the CWRV team celebrate the occasion
at the company’s 1702 S. Nappanee St.

Corp., raised $67,000 for “Men in
Kilts,” a fundraiser benefitting Ronald
McDonald House at Memorial
Hospital. In all, the fundraiser brought
in $256,000 for the organization.
DJ Construction received recognition
from the National Association of
Church Design Builders for three
projects completed in Indiana. Awards
were received for best renovation,
best project under $1 million, and best
project between $1 million and $5
million. In all three categories, DJ was
chosen for finding innovative and costeffective solutions to ministry needs.

celebrated the expansion of
its Elkhart warehousing and
distribution capabilities on
Oct. 22. New member AMP Distributing
is part of Atwood’s $5.9 million investment
in consolidating company functions in
Elkhart. The moves also will add up to
132 jobs in the area by 2015. Atwood is
a leader in designing, engineering and
manufacturing RV appliances and hardware.
