The second great challenge for Carlee was staying true to herself . She explains , “ We have an amazing system in place to build our dōTERRA businesses . However , I believe it is incredibly important to find our own flavor and what works best for us , and to resist comparing our journey to anyone else ’ s .” As she has found her own path to success and has watched her team members do the same , Carlee has gained a strong belief that a critical component is finding what works best for each person and staying true to that uniqueness .
Facing these two challenges were essential steps for Carlee in pushing past the rank of Gold . Digging deeper into personal development than she ever had before , Carlee finally hit Diamond ; however , maintaining her new rank came with challenges , and she slipped back to Gold . Rather than making excuses about why she wasn ’ t maintaining rank , she looked deeper into herself and her beliefs . “ Ultimately I knew that I wasn ’ t maintaining Diamond because , on some level ,
I didn ’ t believe I was worthy of it . There were more stories to dig out and rewrite .”
And that is just what she did . Rather than allowing herself to blame her team members when they didn ’ t show up in the way she hoped , or giving herself excuses about her personal life — she had just given birth to a new child — Carlee took ownership of her business and her success . She became determined to focus on herself and her energy . She decided to take control of her actions and her results , and the outcome speaks for itself . “ Once I was able to clear out much of the resistance and feelings of unworthiness , I was then able to rise back up to Diamond .”
“ I had the choice to either do the work and grow into my dreams , or walk away and never achieve them . The latter wasn ’ t an option for me .” — Carlee
