have a do-over. So, then what? No matter the circumstance, you may fail at something but you’re not a failure. You always have another day, another year, another season to build, to grow, to develop and to overcome. Remember, you were created and born to be an overcomer. It is through the act of repetition that you can either enhance your life or diminish it. Reckless, negative self- talk repeated over time will surely result in a diminished life. Speak life into existence often. After a moment of loss or failure, take the time to write down or discuss what you did and what you can do in the future. Examine yourself. 3. Don’t be afraid of the silence- In our information saturated world it is very difficult to find a quiet space. It is vitally important that you spend time resting your mind from the daily assault of outside influences. Try to spend at least 5-10 minutes per day awake but in total silence. Your mind needs rest in the same way that your body does. It’s a form of recuperation that’s greater than rest. There will be therapeutic results gleaned when done with fidelity. 4. Repetition-Nobody says “I had perfect form the first time I swung a bat.” Repetition, repetition, repetition. It only takes as little as 72 hours for your mind to start rewiring itself with new input. Never stop learning, never stop striving to be better, and never give up. 16
