simply applies to mind altering drugs but thoughts,
suggestions and ideas that are harmful to your well-being.
So, it’s fair to say that protecting it and keeping your mind
healthy and strong is just as important as nutrition and
training and conditioning of your body in the gym.
Think about what you feed your mind? Don’t you spend
hours doing cardio to make your heart strong, lift weights
to build muscle and drink lots of fluids and healthy foods
so your body will function at peak level? Aren’t you
striving to be an elite athlete?
Try to view your mind not as a sealed/enclosed ball
protected within your head, but a porous one, capable of
input as well as output at all times. For those who are
reckless and unaware of how they care for their mind-
they allow anything in, entertain all sorts of concepts,
beliefs rhetoric and can actually create/develop an
appetite for nonsense and thoughtlessness. Remember,
anything you feed, it grows, so what do you think will be
the consequence if you don’t feed your mind with good
thoughts?
2. Stem the flow of thought-There is a process in order
to guard the threshold of your mind. You must stem the
flow of thought. One of the ways is to slow down. Another
is to control your breathing by calming certain parts of
your body with progressive relaxation.
In this space, reject the concept of failure- failure is
relative to the action. Did you fail a test? Then you must
retake it or study harder or get a tutor. There are some
