About the submitter of the project in a nutshell:
Professional Secondary School of Cīrava is the state-owned secondary
professional educational establishment with more than 60 years of
experience in training of various masters, craftsmen and specialists. Today school provides the following educational programs: catering services, motor transport, wood processing, agricultural techniques and
administrative and clerical services. Main aim of the school is to provide every person (including people with special needs) access to professional education of high quality and promote general development
of the individual. While keeping this goal in mind school continuously
develops as an institution, searches for new possibilities and cooperates with various organisations of local, regional level etc., all of this has
made Professional Secondary School of Cīrava a friendly and encouraging institution to youth and locals. Due to the cooperation with municipality sports games and contests of local and regional level where local
inhabitants take part are organised in the sports hall on regularly basis.
Project description:
Implementation of the project allows providing support to the development of leisure time spending options for the locals of Cīrava, as the
electronic sports games scoreboard has been purchased and set up in
the sports hall of the Professional Secondary School of Cīrava. Setting
up of the scoreboard provides possibility to organise high quality sports
games in Cīrava accordingly to the best standards. Scoreboard is used
for basketball, volleyball, handball, soccer in premises and floor-ball.
The electronic scoreboard allows every player or fan to follow results of
teams, game intrigue is maintained. After setting up of the scoreboard
all sports games are made more viewable and in general this is an important event for the sports fans and locals. It is like a point of reference,
as achievements and results allow seeing and evaluating development,
maintain interest about sports and boost motivation for future achievements.
