Development of the active recreation area ashore of the
town water reservoir of Grobiņa
Aim:
Establish active recreation area in the administrative centre of
the rural territory of Grobiņa – Town of Grobiņa – by the water
reservoir and establish beach volleyball field and 5 different
outside trainers where locals, including locals with special need
could valuably spend their free time and recreate.

Rural Territory of Grobiņa is a municipality in Kurzeme
that was developed due to the administratively territorial reform. Council of the Rural Territory of Grobiņa
was established in July 1, 2009, when the Town of
Grobiņa of the former District of Liepāja were united
with the rural territories of Bārta, Gavieze, Grobiņa
and Medze.
Project description:
within the frameworks of the project new active
recreation area has been established in the administrative centre of the rural territory of Grobiņa – rural
territory of Grobiņas. All individuals can freely access this
area. Beach volleyball field has been established in the
active recreation area, as well as 5 outside trainers provided for various muscle groups. Therefore everyone
can actively spend their free time and diversify
recreational activities. Besides development of the
active recreation area and modern and well-arranged
surroundings promote healthy and active lifestyle at
the same time strengthening general health condition
of our future – our children and youth.
