Project description: stairs with sightseeing platforms
have been developed within the frameworks of
the project; stairs lead to the sand-dune where the
monument to the first President of the Republic of Latvia
Jānis Čakste is located. A splendid view emerges
from the dune to the nature park scenery; therefore
benches are put in the sightseeing platforms so people
could enjoy the Nature Park of Bernāti. Also a group
of wooden sculptures are situated on the Nature Park
of Bernāti to preserve the heritage values. Sculptures
depict three young girls and a devil and visualise the legend
visitors can read on the nearby stand about the
origination of the red skirt of Nīca. Sculptures not only
visually enrich the environment but also make it more
attractive.
