Motor Sports for youth of Grobina region-valuable way of spending leisure
time
Description of the project applicant
Biedrība motoklubs „Kurzeme” ir viens no vadošajiem motosporta klubiem Latvijā,
kas aktīvi darbojas tikai trešo gadu, bet ir jau sasniedzis augstus rezultātus gan
Latvijā, gan pasaulē. Spilgtākie piemēri: Paula Jonasa izcīnītā uzvara Pasaules
čempionātā un 2009. gadā motoklubs „Motokurzeme” kļuva par divkārtējiem
čempioniem motokrosa sacensībās „Superkauss”.
The association a motor club „Kurzeme” is one of the leading motor sports club in
Latvia, which actively acts only for the third year, but has already achieved high results both in Latvia as well as abroad. One of the best examples is a victory of Pauls
Jonass in the World Cup. In 2009 a motor club became as a double champion of
the motorcycling competition „Super Cup”.

Realizējot projektu, iegādāti pieci jauni sporta - motokrosa motocikli, lai nodrošinātu
kvalitatīvu treniņu darbu un saniegtu labus rezultātus sacensībās. No tiem viens
paredzēts jauniešiem līdz 21 gada vecumam un četri - jauniešiem līdz 15 gadu
vecumam. Motokluba „Kurzeme” jaunieši un bērni ar jaunajiem motocikliem aktīvi
piedalās sacensībās Latvijā un ārzemēs. Kā arī jaunie sportisti līdzdarbojas dažādos
publiskos pasākumos, kā rallija „Kurzeme” atklāšanā, Zinību dienā Liepājā, tādējādi
prezentējot savu motoklubu un jauniegādātos motociklus.
Upon the implementation of the project there were five new sports-motorcycling
motorcycles acquired in order to ensure high quality training work and achieve
good results in competitions. One of these motorcycles was provided for youth up
to the age of 21 years and four – for youth up to the age of 15 years. Children and
youth of the motor club „Kurzeme” take an active part in competitions in Latvia
and abroad, as well as the young sportsmen participate also in different public
events, such as an opening event of the rally “Kurzeme”, on a back-to-school day
in Liepaja thus presenting their motor club and the newly acquired motorcycles.
