Description about the applicant of the project
Aizputes novada Lažas pagasta administratīvais centrs ir Apriķos, kur izvietota
pārvalde, pamatskola, bibliotēka un arī kultūras nams. Apkārtnē dzīvo ap 200
iedzīvotāju. Apriķu pamatskolā ir četrdesmit septiņi bērni un divpadsmit skolotāji.
Apdzīvotā vieta lepojas ar Apriķu baznīcu un muzeju. Visas ēkas ir atjaunotas un
sakārtoti to inženiertīkli. Pašvaldība piedāvā pakalpojumus organizējot kultūras,
brīvā laika un sporta pasākumus, bet nebija nodrošināti kvalitatīvi līdzekļi šo
nodarbību veicināšanai.
The administrative centre of Aizpute region Laza parish is in Apriki, where the
council, elementary school, library and also a public house are located. There are
around 200 inhabitants living in the neighbourhood. There are 47 children and
12 teachers in the Elementary School of Apriki. The populated area is proud with
Apriki church and museum. All buildings are renovated and their engineering networks are in place. The municipality is organising culture, leisure time and sports
events, however there were no high quality resources provided for the promotion
of such activities.

Within the project fixed assets were acquired in order to diversify and make meaningful the possibilities of the leisure time activities in Apriki Public House and its
surrounding territory for a long-term. The auditorium obtained a festive lighting
system, the small hall obtained a mirror wall and equipment for different sports
and games (3 fitness units, novus, darts, outdoor table tennis, necessary equipment for volleyball, skating, Nordic walking, gymnastics and weight training).
Office equipment for the recording the results of different sports games, communication needs as well as organisation of educational and creative events and
execution of materials. Furniture for the placement of inventory.
The building of the public house is also a part of the complex of Apriki manor
house, where the museum and a Tourism information centre is located. There is
a history of Latvian country estate exhibited in the museum as well as traditional
holidays are being celebrated, activities for the wedding guests and other celebrations are offered – therefore two new national costumes of Laza were acquired for
the employees of the museum. Around 150 inhabitants take a part in the Public
House attracting around 3000 tourists to the museum per year.
