Apraksts par projekta iesniedzēju
“Pāvilostas serf klubs” tika izveidots 2009. gada
vasarā. Apvienojoties pieredzējušiem sērferiem,
radās ideja iesaistīt jaunatni, lai realizētu jaunu
brīvā laika pavadīšanas veidu. Pāvilostas dome
atbalstīja šo plānu, piešķīra nelielas telpas jūras
tuvumā un vietējie jaunieši cītīgi sāka apgūt
vindsērfingu. Pēc tam tika izveidota biedrība,
kuras sastāvā pašreiz ir astoņpadsmit aktīvu
dalībnieku. Grupas darbības mērķis ir nodrošināt
iespējas gan vietējiem iedzīvotājiem, gan citiem interesentiem nodarboties ar vindsērfingu,
popularizēt šo aktīvo sporta veidu, kā arī rīkot
dažādus pasākumus, apmācības, sacensības un
sadraudzības tikšanās ar citiem sērfistiem. Klubā
darbojas ne tikai vietējie Pāvilostas jaunieši, bet
biedrība nodrošina arī apmācības un nometnes.
Kā arī kluba dalībnieki piedalās vindsērfinga
sacensībās.
Kluba piedāvājumi ir pieejami ne tikai jauniešiem,
bet arī pārējie pilsētas iedzīvotāji labprāt vēlas
apgūt un pamēģināt ko jaunu. Projekta ietvaros biedrība iegādājās jaunu inventāru, ar kura
palīdzību vietējiem iedzīvotājiem un Pāvilostas
viesiem tiek dota iespēja nodarboties ar samērā
elitāru, bet Pāvilostai tik raksturīgo sporta veidu –
sērfošanu.
Description of the project
Latvia has proved that it can bring a champion in
some of the extreme types of sports, therefore the
primary objective of the project is to provide young
people from families with less means to learn
windsurfing or other type of water board sports,
in its turn Pavilosta is a famous surfers town and
there are quite enough of potential young people.
Description of the applicant
The beginning of Pavilosta surfing club was in
summer, 2009. Some experienced surfers got an
idea to get moving the local youth, Pavilosta council supported the idea and assigned small premises
close to the sea and thus everything started – the
local youth started to learn the basics of windsurfing. Further on an association was created where
18 active members participate currently. The objective of the association is to provide both the local inhabitants as well as other interested persons
a possibility to do windsurfing, popularize this active type of sports and organise different events,
trainings, competitions and fellowship events with
other surfers. Local young people take a part in
the club, different trainings and camps have taken
place. Youth of the club participate also in windsurfing competitions.

The club is available for everyone. Not only young
people are interested. Also other inhabitants of the
town would like to learn or try something new as
it would be a shame to miss such an opportunity
when living so close to the sea.
