PRESIDENTIAL MESSAGE
FROM THE GLOBAL
SPEAKERS FEDERATION
WHAT ARE THE FOUR THINGS THAT
PROFESSIONAL SPEAKERS DO OR NEED?
We travel.
We use technology.
We need a venue/
accommodation.
We get paid.
As the President of the
Global Speakers Federation
(GSF), I have been asking
my members (the GSF
currently comprises 15
independent speaker
associations representing
17 nations and individuals
from over 20 countries)
what they need. These
conversations have led us
to develop a three-pillared
strategy that is defined
by the acronym P.G.A.
This P.G.A. is not to
be confused with the
golfing entity, but
with the following:
Professionalism
Global Partnerships
Advancement
As we focus on becoming
more professional, our
members have identified
that professional speakers
across the globe want to
network, learn and celebrate
each other’s successes.
We are pleased to announce
that the Global Speakers
Summit (GSS) will be held in
Swakopmund, Namibia from
21 – 24 February 2020. The
GSS is a gathering of thought
leaders from around the
globe, where best practices
are shared, networking is
facilitated, and batteries
are recharged. Details on
the GSS can be found at

events that are happening.
If you can’t find an existing
professional speaking
association in your current
geography, contact us and
we can explore how we can
help you to connect into
a relevant community.
As 2019 ramps up, I will
encourage you to look at
what you are investing in
yourself and your business.
If you haven’t attended a
GSS in the past, make the
decision that you will be
joining us in Swakopmund
in 2020. I look forward
to seeing you there!
