Super Bowl LXIII
The Ambassadors were guests of LEAD donor and former board member, Carter Drew, at the 2019 Salute To Excellence Awards. One of the highlights of the night: meeting NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Mr. Goodell said he just had to meet the gentlemen in the red blazers.
2019 West Point Founder’s Day Event
The Ambassadors attended this event as guests of Major General Ronald L. Johnson. General Johnson is a distinguished alum of West Point and is currently the Professor of the Practice in ISyE and Faculty Leadership Fellow at Georgia Tech. At the event, The Ambassadors had the pleasure of meeting West Point’s first, Black superintendent, Lt. General Darryl A. Williams (pictured). Thank you General Johnson for sharing West Point with The Ambassadors!
Ambassador Antonio Pierce Visits JLL
Education is not the only major factor to accessing careers – who you know also plays a major role. Through our commerce pillar, LEAD is dedicated to making sure our Ambassadors are connected to individuals of power and influence in Atlanta. Many thanks to John Hirsh for taking the time to meet with Ambassador Antonio Pierce this quarter. John and Antonio connected instantly through their love for baseball; John played at Woodward Academy. The topics for the meeting included baseball (Antonio and John are both 3rd basemen), race/racism, gentrification and how to make Atlanta better for all her citizens.
