The Staff
Janna D. Tierney is an English major in her senior year at
the University of St. Thomas, also minoring in Irish Studies
and History. She tutors English literature and writing at
the UST Tutorial Services Center and has published two
children's books. This is her fourth semester with the Laurels
Editor-in-Chief staff and her second as Editor-in-Chief.
William Walter is currently a freshman at the University
of St. Thomas. He intends on majoring in English with a
writing concentration. This is his second semester with the
Laurels staff.
Fiction Editor
Patrick Miller is a junior majoring in English with a writing
concentration and a minor in Philosophy. This is his first
semester as part of the Laurels staff. In his spare time, he
enjoys making music and dodging questions about his
future.
Poetry Editor
Mustafa Alismail is a senior majoring in English and
minoring in Creative Writing. He clickity-clacks on a
keyboard all day, occassionally producing something
readable. Politics, comedy, and political comedy enthusiast.

Staff
Sarah M. Ontiveros is an English Creative Writing major
in her final semester at the University of St. Thomas. This
is her first year on the Laurels staff. She is an experienced
photographer, writer, and blogger in her free time and hopes
to work for another publication in the near future.
