A Music
Patrick O’Brien
Those Nymphs on notes descending.
Daughters of the Muses fall
To hearts in waiting, trembling.
Bows pull gaily ‘cross worn strings
And cheer abounds in list’ners.
Notes are swift to spring, to sing,
As sparks that leap from embers.
Higher soars the symphony
Join in rising revelry
Now that the song is starting.
