Norwegian Facts

Norway is a country that is located in the northern part of Europe, and
borders to Sweden, Finland and Russia. Norway's formal name is Kon-
geriket Norge (Kingdom of Norway), and its capital is Oslo. The popu-
lation is at about 5.3 million people, and the national symbol is the lion:
The Norwegian Coat of Arms
The highest point in Norway is found at 2469 metres above the sea, at the top of the mountain Gal-
høpiggen, and the runner up is Beerenberg, found at the island of Jan Mayen, in the middle of the
Norwegian Sea. What is special about Beerenberg, is that it is not just an ordinary mountain top,
but it is Norway's only active volcano! There are not many well-known Norwegian inventions, but
some are the Paper clip, the cheese slicer, and a very popular invention, and I am certain that you
know of this, is salmon sushi, or just regular sushi for some.
I hope that you have learned some new and fun facts about
Norway, and I thank you for your attention while reading
this text.
