Dress Code Basics for the

DECA Weekend

Everyone highlights the importance of presenting yourself in a professional manner - particularly how you speak and how you should do so with confidence, charisma and courage. Not only is your voice an essential factor for what professionals look at but your ability to physically present yourself in an expert manner is just as critical.

DECA U Provincials are an amazing opportunity to not only practice your speaking etiquette, problem solving skills and the ability to present innovative business decisions; it is also a time to show the crowd how you are able to dress yourself in a polished and executive manner. For the sake of focusing solely on the upcoming competition; here is your guide on how to dress in business formal attire.

The Basics:

- Clean, crisp and pressed attire - NEVER wrinkled.

-Keep it semi-neutral when it comes to colours! (Black, Grey, Beige etc.)

-Accessories: modest & tasteful.

-Depending on the colour or tone of your suit - black or brown belts should be worn.

-NEVER wear white socks with a suit - try to match the tone of your shoes and suit!

- Guys and gals; if you want to wear perfume - remember some people are sensitive to the smells so try and go minimal!
