Industrial Boulevard
This month, we are introducing a new column, where we are going to talk about a local buisness .
This first "Industrial Boulevard" column will feature a company from Montreal, Qc. , Diesel Spec .
We spoke to Mr. Christian Fournier, president of the company, who was telling us about his entreprise and, even told us a little bit of the buisness history .
Diesel Spec was founded in 1987 by Mr. Eddy Fournier, Christian's father, from who Mr. Fournier son, have learned everything about mechanic, at the age of 14 , when he quit school . Back then, the company was specialising in engine repairing for Cummins, Detroit and Caterpillar motors .
It's in the early the 90's , that they will start to work on E.C.M. and begin to do some tuning , around the year 2000 .
In 2010, they left aside the engine repair division, to concentrate their efforts on the growing success of their tuning activities, for a better fuel economy, and to modify motors for better performance .
To date, Diesel Spec, counts over 200 authorized dealers, worldwide : Canada, United-States, Mexico, France, Australia, New-Zeland and Austria .
Diesel Spec perform tunings on more than 400 trucks, each month, to enhance their fuel economy . That's beside all the work that they do on race trucks, with their "off road tuning"
