CITYWIDE COMPLIANCE As OCEIA has expanded its work to provide more one-on-one and hands-on technical assistance to City departments to improve language services, departments have responded positively. In the past fiscal year, OCEIA’s Language Access & Policy Implementation Team has trained City employees and provided technical assistance consultations and workshops to improve knowledge and delivery of language access services. OCEIA will continue to work with departments to improve and standardize their data collection methods. The next step will be to enforce these standards consistently across all departments. Consequently, this means that some of the online dashboard data may display atypical trends as we bring all departments into alignment. However, the result will be improved data consistency across years and departments, allowing for more robust analysis of citywide and departmental progress.
