Issue 2 | The Lanzarote Grapevine 2014 Rafael Acuña Delgado and Dominic Morin, retired as public employees from the Cabildo of Lanzarote, on September 19th. They have been awarded the title of ‘Honorary Advisor of the Cabildo of Lanzarote’. The special title and the position, as retired public employees was developed by the Cabildo of Lanzarote but is unpaid. Both Morin Domingo Delgado and Rafael Acuña were appointed by the Plenary of the Corporation in two special sessions convened for that purpose, they are the first two honorary advisers ever appointed by the Council. Morin received the title of ‘Honorary Advisor on Fisheries’ and Rafael Acuña received the title ‘Honorary Adviser on Finance’, as experts in these matters, to represent the interests of the council in this and at other institutions. Now they are retired, they will develop their work altruistically, since these roles do not involve any financial remuneration or employment relationship with the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
