To incorporate this modern element into the
design clean lines were used within the hard and
soft landscaping. To soften the lines plants were
chosen that would add movement, texture and
colour. I was given free rein with the planting
palate but had to take into account the clients love
for white Hydrangeas, which were requested to run
throughout the design. These suited the location
perfectly and the crisp white of the Hydrangea
‘Annabelle’ illuminates the garden in the late
evenings and acts as a focal point when viewed
from the house. The clients are extremely happy
with the finished product and enjoyed the entire
design experience. I am often asked to revisit the
garden in the form of anything from a seasonal
visit to a catch-up and it is always such a pleasure
to hear my clients proudly talk about their garden.
