Growth at Paynes Turf
Leading turf supplier, Paynes Turf, is expanding its delivery fleet
of FORS accredited vehicles following sustained growth of the
business in the UK. The investment will allow the 40-year-old
turf company, which grows premium quality turf at its 1500-
acre farms in Essex and Suffolk, to meet increasing demand for
Paynes Turf’s products and services.
Paynes Turf products include turf, topsoils and border bark, with
turf supplied in 1sqm rolls or in big rolls of 20sqm, the latter
being ideal for landscapers working on large-scale commercial
projects, allowing turf to be laid quickly and effectively.
The company has enhanced its delivery service with the
addition of a tenth vehicle to its fleet, all of which are fitted with
custom-built smart GPS tracking systems that allow drivers
to stay ahead of the traffic, and include piggy-back forklift
unloading.
“Efficient landscaping work requires turf to be on site at the right
time, which is often early in the working day for landscapers.
