landscapers are incorporating artificial
grass into their designs to provide their
customers with a low maintenance lawn or
a solution for a problematic area of grass.
We are also now seeing a bigger uptake by
local authorities, statutory organisations,
restaurants and bars who want easy to
manage areas which can be difficult to
upkeep with natural grass. The variety
of turfs that we hold stock of mean we
have something to suit every project. We
generally hold around 15 different types
of grass, these include grasses which are
suitable for sports use such as multi use
games areas. We can also order pitches to
suit your project with lines manufactured
into the pitch.
One of our best selling artificial grass
accessories is Shock Pad, these are
supplied as interlocking panels equipped
with expansion slots and are available in
18mm and 25mm thicknesses. The 25mm
Shock Pad has a critical fall height of
1.4m and can be used with artificial grass
underneath play equipment to create
an impact absorbing surface. The pads
consist of thermal bonded polyethylene
foam which originates from production
residues and contains no contaminants.
18mm multi purpose Shock Pad lends
itself particularly well to MUGA’s which are
generally installed onto surfaces where
shock absorption is very low, installation
of 18mm Shock Pad underneath the grass
raises the shock absorption above 50%
providing a cost effective solution and
comfort under foot.
