ROUND WOOD
A new, stunning mirrored building was
officially launched to the trade at this
year’s Landscape Show in Battersea
Park. Exclusive UK distributor Round
Wood of Mayfield featured an ÖÖD
House as the centerpiece of a stand that
attracted significant interest from garden
designers, landscapers, architects,
developers and hoteliers.
Steel framed, ÖÖD buildings blend
beautifully into any setting courtesy of
the insulated glazing that covers the front
and side elevations. The rear elevation
features eco-friendly thermo treated
ash cladding which cleverly conceals a
service void.
Two standard versions with a footprint
of 6m x 3m are currently available, both
fitted out to a high specification, including
oak flooring and air conditioning.
ÖÖD Rooms offer striking and open
recreational/studio space. ÖÖD Houses
feature additional living facilities,
including a bathroom and kitchen. This
makes them ideal for the provision of
self-contained, luxury and novel living
areas.
The ÖÖD House on display at Battersea
Park particularly caught the eye of high
end Hotel and B&B owners looking for
additional accommodation. Given the
rates that can be charged, ÖÖD offers an
investment that can be returned in just
few years with a reasonable occupancy
rate.
Interest was also high amongst those
working on projects with a need for
buildings that blend sympathetically
into the surrounding environment,
whether for homeowners or commercial
purposes.

ENGLISH CITY STONE
Branshaw Quarry is situated in the heart of
“Bronte County”, the traditional home of Yorkshire
Flagstones. High on the hills above Oakworth
and facing the Yorkshire Dales the durability and
aesthetic qualities of its fine grained Sandstone are
known throughout the country.
After extensive investment the quarry now has
the potential to provide several hundred metres
of paving within a short timescale and has stock
of 600 x random paving and a range of bullnosed
Treads.
The material is suitable for external and internal
applications and comes as a stock item in 30mm
and 50mm with 65mm and 75mm also available
by order. The bullnosed Treads come in a range
of sizes from 1000mm to 1800mm with a going of
400mm with the nosing on front edge only. Risers
for these are 150mm x 50mm in the same lengths.
Slip resistance and hardness are both in the
higher range for sedimentary sandstone. Added
to this we also provide a bespoke masonry service.
Samples are available by post on application by
