It has much to do with the probability of serendipity. If you are entrepreneurially minded, but live in a small village in the country, and work from home you are less likely to bump into a potential backer for your business, or a kindred entrepreneurial spirt who could become a business partner, than if you live in or near Silicon Valley or London’s Shoreditch.
