Cement Pot
with
Paint Technique
and
Decoupage

MATERIALS:
Plain cement or terracotta pot. Acrylic paints in white
and one other colour to complement the design.
Pretty patterned paper serviettes, decoupage podge,
brushes, water based varnish, scissors.
I had a very unatttractive cement pot that needed
freshening up. First I painted it with a base coat of
white acrylic, if it doesn’t come out bright enough,
then give a second coat.
Once dry, I used a dry brush with a bright pink acrylic
paint and flicked the colour across the pot in a hash
pattern, covering most areas but leaving some white
to show through. Also put some colour onto the lip of
the pot, and inside too if you would like.
