“This afternoon I delivered a Gemara class, but I left it with a distinct sense that the students hadn’t connected fully to the ideas. I wanted to get a better idea of what I could have done to be more engaging, and I was directed to the camera’s. As a teacher, I am constantly analyzing my interactions with the students, trying to identify how I can be more impactful, but this was incredible. In a moment, I was able to hone in on the precise moment that I lost the boys attention. By observing the class as an outsider, I was able to see precisely what needed to change, and implementing the change was simple. This kind of technology will help me to quickly assess a sit- uation and develop solutions to potential issues long before they become significant. As a teacher, it has changed my per- spective on how students experience my lesson. By observing the situation from an outsider’s perspective, I can have a much clearer picture of how effective my lesson planning is, and what needs to change.” — Rabbi Yehuda Fenton, Lamplighters Teacher L A M P L I G H T E R S Y E S H I VA H A N N U A L R E P O R T | 1 8
