retreat facilitator, Rogers strategically advises
and supports businesses, teams, and individuals

purposeful and balanced ways. Prior to starting
her business in 2013 as president and chief
growth officer of IEG (a WPP co.), she advised
Fortune 100 brands, professional sports teams,
entertainment properties, and global nonprofits on
how to form mutually beneficial strategic alliances.
Described by The Ledger as bringing “a fresh face
to leadership,” Rogers authors a monthly column
intended to inspire leadership excellence. She is a
sought-after speaker that has presented keynote
presentations and workshops throughout North
America, Europe, and Asia.
Midili Smith recently joined Roger’s team and is
consulting with businesses across various industries
to help companies achieve their goals through
the development of their most important asset,
their people. Prior to her consulting role, Midili
Smith served as the senior vice president of human
resources for Publix Super Markets, Inc., a Fortune
100 company with over 193,000 employees. In this
leadership role, she served on the CEO executive
team providing strategic leadership in areas such
as hiring, onboarding, training development
and delivery, succession planning, corporate
communication strategy, change management
implementation, performance management,
business planning, leadership development, and
employee engagement. Midili Smith has seen
firsthand the powerful positive impact that is
achieved when companies focus and invest in
developing the potential of their employees. As a
result, her passion is to work with companies to
help realize this potential and create meaningful
organizational change and growth.

NEW BUSINESS 101
The Lakeland Chamber of
Commerce will host four sessions
that will help businesses finalize their
business plans and gain valuable
information from city and county
ombudsman, bank officials, marketing
professionals, and local business mentors
before opening their doors. All new
businesses that complete the courses
will receive a complimentary six-month
Chamber membership, as well as a
SCORE mentor to assist them in their
business venture. The course will also
help new applicants by feeding them in
to the chamber programs that will most
benefit their prospective business.
