GREAT LAKES ADAPTIVE SPORTS ASSOCIATION (GLASA) PARTNERSHIP Last spring we hosted GLASA’s Inaugural Adaptive Archery Clinic for youth and adults with a physical disability. We hope to do this again and look forward to partnering with GLASA on more programs in the future. Northern Suburban Special Recreation Association (NSSRA) provides and facilitates year-round recreation programs and services for children, teens and adults with disabilities who live in 13 northern suburban communities including Lake Forest. NSSRA has nearly 500 recreation, sport, cultural and social offerings available throughout the year, creating new experiences, opportunities for skill development, leisure time, and perhaps most importantly, friendship. Our Inclusion support option provides individuals with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy full participation in partner agency programs while receiving the individualized one-on-one support they need to succeed. Through its programs and services, NSSRA removes the barriers that might prevent an individual with disabilities from full participation in the fun and richness of experience that life has to offer. Please contact us with questions or for more information about the programs and services we provide. 68 NSSRA Program Guides are available online at www.nssra.org or in print at the Lake Forest Recreation Center.
