In this two-day workshop, you will learn the different firing methods and materials, explore surface treatments that enhance marks made during the firing, and construct and fire a bonfire kiln using sawdust as fuel. We’ll begin with a demonstration, and by the time you’re done (and with guidance from Stirling’s own “Demi and Patrick”), you’ll have thrown enough bowls to choose your favorite. We’ll enjoy the included wine and cheese throughout the evening and you can select from a variety of glaze colors for your finished piece (available for pick-up in March).
