Boys Lacrosse
The Lake Forest Parks & Recreation Department (LFPRD) and Lake Forest
Lacrosse Association (LFLA) have partnered to build the most robust and
successful Boys Lacrosse program in Lake Forest and Lake Bluff. This
partnership allows players with talent and interest to continue to play
and develop their lacrosse abilities in a seamless manner between both
organizations, leading up to play at the High School level.
This combined Lake Forest Lacrosse program will benefit players and their parents by:

Players who play for either LFLA or LFRD will sign up through the LFRD registration system as designated
by the codes on page 61, corresponding to appropriate grade divisions. Try-outs will be held in February
for potential LFLA Elite teams, but will be conducted by officials from both organizations. Players who do
not make LFLA Elite teams will have the opportunity to play in the LFRD Junior Scout’s Travel program to
further develop their skills in a competitive and fun environment with their friends. Players who make LFLA
teams will experience a more competitive and longer season than players in the Junior Scouts Program and
will play in several tournaments through the course of their season.
Both programs will partner to ensure that players have the opportunity to train with professional coaches
and provide for flexibility in roster adjustment before, during, and after the Spring season. Teams in both
organizations will play their Spring seasons in the Illinois Boys Lacrosse Association (IBLA). Elite teams will
play in either A or B divisions, while the Travel teams will play in B or C divisions.
