CREATIVE ARTS
Constructed in 1929 and designed by the renowned North Shore architect Edwin H . Clark , Stirling Hall is Lake Forest ’ s best kept secret . Stirling Hall houses a fully-equipped , professionally staffed art center with an emphasis on ceramics . Classes for children and adults , ages three and up , are offered four times a year . Adult and children ’ s workshops are also offered throughout the year .

ART ATTACK ( 5-10Y ) Young artists will have opportunities to enjoy and explore the creative process with a wide variety of art materials . Students will papiermache , paint , print , collage , draw , and more while creating open-ended , positive art experiences . Imaginations will be sparked when we use common materials in uncommon ways .

DYNAMIC CERAMICS ( 5-10Y ) This introduction to ceramics will emphasize creative expression through the use of clay . Participants will explore the basic approaches to clay including coil , pinch , and slab drape methods . Great seasonal projects will be made . Students are recommended to have two sessions of Dynamic Ceramics before moving on to Young Potters .
