CAMP PREVIEW DAY

This event will give you a sneak peak at all of the wonderful camp opportunities that exist for your child for the summer of 2017 . You will get the opportunity to meet staff , ask questions , and even have the opportunity for early registration incentives . From specialty camps to our traditional day camps , there is something for everyone from 3 year olds to 14 year olds . We also have our popular Counselor in Training Program for 13-15 year olds that develops leadership skills and possible future employment as a camp counselor .

The Lake Forest Parks & Recreation Department invites fathers and their young princess or princesses to attend our Winter Ball . The gymnasium of the Recreation Center will be transformed into a beautiful castle , providing a magical night of dinner , dancing , and crafts . This is a wonderful opportunity to spend some quality time with those who matter most . Participants are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite Disney princess . We hope to see you there !

REPTILE RAMPAGE
SUNDAY , MARCH 12 , 2017
Bring your friends and family and join us for one of Chicagoland ’ s largest reptile exhibitions . Enthusiasts and experts from around the region will exhibit more than 150 snakes , lizards , turtles , tortoises and more . Visitors will have opportunities to meet , handle , and learn about many of these animals with representatives from museums , universities , zoos , nature centers and private collections . Featured exhibitors include Jim Nesci from Cold Blooded Creatures , the Chicago Herpetological Society , the St . Louis Herpetological Society , The Field Museum , the Madison Herpetological Society , the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum and the Grove Nature Center . Children will be able to engage in many activities , including face-painting . A silent auction benefiting the Wildlife Discovery Center and various conservation programs will be ongoing throughout the day . We regret that due to space limitations , strollers cannot be allowed in the exhibit hall . A stroller “ parking area ” will be provided .
