HANDS , HEAD , AND FEET : Give grace and expression to your figure sculpture by learning to sculpt hands , heads , and feet . Through an “ ecorche ” approach to sculpting muscles , gain a greater knowledge of human anatomy .

FIGURE SCULPTURE : Working from a nude model , students will take a methodical and anatomical approach to sculpting the figure realistically . Students may choose to sculpt a head , torso , or full figure . Focus will be given to anatomy , skeletal structure , body proportions , and pose gesture . Building techniques , problem solving , observational skills , and internal armature will be emphasized . Special attention will be given to traditional and non-traditional finishing techniques for sculpture . Students are encouraged to creatively finish their sculpture .
